Type A: White Edition, Limited to 300 Set

Type B: Black Edition, Limited to 200 Set

Estimated Release date: May 5th.

Due to some issues in production, the release date will be pushed back to the late May.

They only sold on Taobao before, the ebay is newly opened shop for some international buyers.

When I read this, my mind froze. It took me a few seconds to realize what I was reading. My mind could accept it.

Part 1 is one of my favorite HK films of all time! I never liked part 2. I have always wondered if this movie would ever see the blu-ray light of day. I just figured that it was a lost cause. Now, what to do? I wish that the site was a little more English friendly.

So, can anyone clarify if they will ship to the US? Should I order it through the eBay site or from Taobao? I am confused! Ebay always worries me that I am getting a boot. Taobao, I have never heard of. Too bad that this is not being released by Nova or available on either buyoyo or dddhouse. Just a little worried!

Will be true 1080p or an upscale? Any work done on restoring the film negative?

It is interesting though that the package design looks like something that Nova would do. I wonder if they will have a version later on?

it is from Mandarin Films so it should be true HD telling by their Itunes and Streaming Stuff

Taobao doesn't ship to the US. I remember this coming up a while ago with Blufans.

I wrote to Pegasus movie last year and they said:

"This film is no more belong to us, it has transferred to "Pegasus Motion
Picture" years ago. You may contact them for your issue !"

So, if Mandarin Films have it now and if it is true HD then that is wonderful. I need to write to them and see what is going on with this movie then.

But, I did contact the seller through eBay but there is no guarantee that they will ship to the US. Will let everyone know if/when the seller responds. And, will try to get an idea of the cost. I`m guessing that they will price me out of getting this.

Some Taobao stores can support international shipping, you have to ask the shop owner first to confirm whether they can ship to the US and how much will the shipping fee be. [EDIT: Only the eBay shop support international shipping, for buyers outside Asia, you have to contact seller]
Both films were sourced from the restored HD material supplied by HK company, not upscale.

Never heard of Taobao or Mlife before this thread. So, it is perhaps like eBay? The links that were provided were all in Chinese and I could never figure out how to proceed to register. There was a box to sign in. But, obviously, I do not have an account so I got stuck at that point. I did a little cut and pasting into translate google but I did not get much further than that. If anyone can translate the site or provide information on which seller to get it from, that ships outside of Asia, would be nice. I got a little frustrated with it.

I am surprised that in this day and age that this movie would be released in such a limited way. I understand the limited number of pressings but to limit it to pretty much Asia/China, does not seem to make much sense. I would bet that most of the sales for this release are going to be from fans outside of Asia. And, if they won't/don`t ship to US or UK or elsewhere, they will probably be sitting with a lot of unsold product.

I just asked the people from Diskino, the eBay shop is the only way for international buyers, you contact the seller, they can ship this to US.

have a dutch site and payment options set up. Unfortunately it only lists one seller for the movie; 86 euro including cheapest international shipping option.
A bit much for 1 movie as I never liked the 2nd one. Don't mind paying extra for one of my favourite movies, but I'd really like to know the quality of the transfer for that price, so any info is appreciated.

The HK distributor provided the HD restored transfer to Diskino for this release, it won't be as good as those 4K restored releases, but I think it's a decent (and only) HD transfer and of course better than those upscale HK BD.
