Question Superbit DVD Upconversion?

I was at a local Best Buy today and saw that they had a number of Superbit DVD's on sale for $6.99. I purchased one, with the express purpose of checking out the upscaling quality of such disks. Has anyone else in this forum had any successes, or failures, using these disks?

When I was buying DVD's, I'd always look for a Superbit version whenever and wherever possible. The extra bitrates went a nice ways towards a better PQ IMO.

yeah, I'd find myself buying crappy movies like The One just because I saw it in Superbit...

the best test is to run a superbit DVD upconverted to 1080p....I'd like to see how that would turn out..

I only have a 720p display...

The Spiderman 2 superbit was my first test when firmware 1.8 came out. After this, I unhooked my trusty Denon DVD-1600 and now use my PS3 for all DVD use.

I ejoyed most of the Superbits played in on my BD player, some looked great (Starship Troopers, Spiderman 1 \ 2, cliffhanger) some was just ok (Underworld, The Missing, XXX) so I have found it hit or miss. Of the 28 Superbits I owned when I got BD I olny sold 8 of them to replace with BD after rent the BD from Netflix.

Total BD 48
Samsung 46" plasma
Pioneer Elite 81tvx
