Default Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Tonight we watched "The Messengers" this horror flick with lots of *boom* sounds and screaming. The usual stuff you'd expect to hear in this type of film. After a while I felt a little guilty knowing my neighbors must be shaking their fists in the air but kept watching.

A scene started and the suspense mounted. I could tell the noise was going to get louder so I pressed the volume down button. I wasn't fast enough and the scene kept louder and louder.

I smashed the button even harder and started to panic a bit like the character on screen. The loudest scream I have ever heard in my life went through my speakers. It was then I realized that I was pressing the up volume button...It was a nice adrenaline rush though.

I was watching exorcist, now i have seen it a couple of times. one day i was watching with the girlfriend, i knew a scene when linda blair's character came down the stairs upside down and spitting blood (weird), i thought i was turning down the volume, all i can say the girlfriend screamed.

I did this once before while trying to drown out the sound of my ex-girlfriend while she was sitting on the subwoofer, so the neighbors wouldn't hear her. The funny thing is the louder the voulume got the louder my ex got...hmmm go figure I was sure it would be the other way around
