The Great Father (Malayalam) on Blu Ray from Sony and Anon Trendz

The Great Father is an Indian Malayalam film directed by Haneef Adeni and produced by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Arya, Santhosh Sivan, and Shaji Nadesan under the banner of August Cinema. Starring Mammootty in the lead role and Arya, Sneha and Shaam in supporting roles. The film was planned to release on 25 December 2016 on Christmas, but was postponed to 30 March 2017. The film was released in 202 screens, 958 shows (including late night shows), and earned the highest first day collection at the Kerala box office ₹4.31 crore (US$640,000).

Ok... so all those sudden BD releases from Anon Trendz have been building up to this. Haven't seen the film, so can't comment, but these guys are very much likely to incur huge losses from the Central Jail and Aadupuli releases which no one asked for in the first place...

Sony is pumping the money. They have bought the rights and are releasing all this. No loss for anon trendz

Oh ok... My impression was that Anon had outsourced BD manufacturing to Sony DADC (as Reliance does) while keeping the rights with themselves.

90% tamil movies rights with AP International/Ayngaran . They're not at all interested to released it on home videos .
