I bought a copy of wall-e (2-discs) last week in Hong Kong wanchai 188 arcade, I couldn't find any BD-live in the menu in any disc. I didn't realize at first, until i found another copy in HMV which is a US version, and there is a BD-live icon on the bottom right cover! I felt stupid and careless ( mostly angry)for buying that Canada copy ! So be careful guys!!!!!!!!!

Why would there be any difference in the Canadian copy? Does Disney have something against us Canadians...do they think we don't deserve the same features?
On a different note I heard that the US version has 7.1 and 6.1 tracks (depending if you get 3 disc or 2 disc I think) while the Canadian version only has 5.1....what's up wit dat?!?! |

I thought I read that Disney does not have any BD-Live servers which support customers in Canada. Does anyone in Canada have any experience trying to use BD-Live features on a Disney Blu-ray in Canada?
I have the US versions of Wall E and Tinker Bell which have BD-Live showing up in them but i've never tried using it. |

That DOESN'T make sense?! Wouldn't that be so much more work for Disney?! Why does Canada get shafted like this? WE'RE ATTACHED TO THE US! ![]() Plus, we're bigger then them ![]() |

I got a side-question to canadian owners of Wall-E BluRay....
The US versions doesn't have any subtitles/dubbind beside original English track (and english subtitles), but canadian version seems to have both French and Spanish dub and subs. It's true? It has all the extras an menues on three languages? And movie text content? (as this image from the spanish Region B BluRay) |

No, it is no longer so.
The BD-Live issue has since been resolved, one of the reasons iirc was because of Disney's Rewards system or whatever via BD-Live, which they didn't have setup in Canada at the time (not to mention they had to also set it up for Quebec which has its own laws I believe with regards to things like that). |
