If I recall, for Furious 6 and 7 they didn't release the art for the matching steels until much closer to the release date. Hopefully they'll follow the pattern on this one too.

I wonder if someone will end up with a bonus disc. If not I'll probably get this one. The OCD people here would hate my collection - 1-5 the Best Buy steels, 6 the regular steel, 7 the Walmart cover with Paul Walker and 8 would be back to the Best Buy steel.

Nope. It matches the most recent set.

When the ninth movie comes out, they'll make a new set, and then once again.

It irritates me a bit that Best Buy released the 4th Steelbook as Fast & Furious 4 rather than just Fast & Furious. The 4 is prominently displayed at the bottom of the spine so there's no need to have it on the front or the title of the spine.

Well to compromise they could have put the 4 in the bottom right corner and left the title alone like the matching slips did over at Walmart or whoever had it. It's almost impossible to keep up with all the re-re-re-releases this franchise gets.

Those in charge of the design for this steelbook series deserve high praise. I'm just so happy it's consistent with the other seven. I wasn't worried that we wouldn't get a steelbook, but I was worried they'd change up the design having been 2 years since the previous release. Always run the risk of investing in an on going series, only to be burned with the latest release not matching or not being release at all (Game of Thrones House Sigils

Loving the Charger on the cover, looks a lot better than the regular blu-ray. I don't own any of the previous steelbooks, so this will be my first one for the franchise. Not like all of my covers match anyways, so my OCD went out the window awhile ago. lol
