Wait, so does this mean it won't have any inside art? I can't remember if the other Steels did.

Been a minute since I have opened any of mine but I am pretty sure they are all blank inside.

Really finding myself wishing I had bought the others when they came out seeing that this one actually matches. Might start hunting ebay!

They usually re-release these when the newest one comes out so you may want to wait

How well do they stock normally stock Fast & Furious steelbooks? I was going to wait until release day to try and find one, but the Logan thread has me a bit nervous . Should I preorder it instead?

I can tell you flat out tbat with Furious 7, i preordered it for in store pick up, when i went to the store day of, i always walk aroind the store before i go to the front to pick up my preorder, i walked around and didnt see any on the floor so i asked where tbey were and they said unless you preordered it, they didnt have any.

All that to say... i'd preorder if i was you! They may get more stock this time, but why chance it?!

Can't quite decide yet which version of this I'll grab...either the 4K Steel or the regular 4K. I gave up being uniform with this franchise forever ago because I knew that it would probably mean upgrading to new releases every time a new movie came out. Ha.

I commend Best Buy for sticking to their Steelbook designs through the last few movies though. When they came out, I just couldn't justify the double dip when it was unsure if they'd stick to it in the future. And I don't care for the artwork a ton anyway. Not horrible, but not great either. It makes them all look very similar, which is cool for uniformity's sake, but the fact of the matter is that they are all pretty different films (with the exception of a few of the later ones) so I actually kinda like that my hodgepodge collection displays that.

The steel will hold the most value in the future, but I kinda like the big F8 on the standard.

I've seen various ones pop up from time to time in store in NYC randomly or during certain sales. I know I bought steels 1-5 the second time they showed up in stores (at least a good month or 2 after 6 came out to replace 5 regular combos). Don't be surprised to see the previous 7 steels the week 8 comes out.

I probably have you beat - I have the original Best Buy steel for Fast Five, that's DVD sized, in addition to the Wal-Mart one for 6.

It better go back down, I was just about to order it today too. It happened last time I was about to preorder it, went from 24.99 to 27.99. I can't justify spending almost $40 for this movie. I enjoyed it a lot, but it's not my favorite of the series.

I would be surprised if it doesn't. I'm surprised it went back up. $30/$34 is crazy.

So I'm guessing the price will never go back down to $19.99? I should've preordered it when it was reasonable.
