DOn't pass on this one. It is cropped for sure (not sure why Indian blu-ray companies do not understand the importance of preserving original AR); but the overall quality is not really bad. The first couple of songs definitely start-off as looking like DVD-quality (very soft) and certainly not color-corrected. But as I got to the other songs, they actually started looking better. I was thrilled to watch Dharmendra in true HD in my home theater (12-ft wide 16:9 image) via my Sony 5000ES PJ, which doesn't take well to videos shot on old film stock. Was expecting to see a very grainy image but instead, most songs look nice and clean, and grainless. Of course, the quality is inconsistent between the songs and even within a song. In some Rajesh Khanna song, one minute looks like HD and the next like DVD, etc. But overall, it definitely has many many many true HD moments (if that's the best they can do with available budget), I'm ok with it. Even old ones like Shree 420 seems to have undergone some restoration (albeit soft). Watching Rajesh Khanna, Big B, Dharmendra, Dev Anand, etc. in HD quality felt very special indeed. Been watching about 30 mins each day....turned this thing on last nite around 11:00 or so and dozed off at some point of time and opened my eyes around 1 AM & was pleasantly surprised by some Rishi Kapoor song that looked like true HD (although the earlier song from Bobby looked like a DVD) - so, definitely inconsistent- but it has enough HD-quality to please fans of Bollywood songs of the previous era......hopefully, we get to see more of these old-song blurays (& maybe someday 4K UHD HDR-

PS: The audio seems surprisingly good - was expecting some tinny-sounding mono tracks-

PS2: DOn't go by the above screenshots only - there are many songs that look much better than the ones captured above. 4 of the 5 screenshots above capture songs that don't look all that good. There are songs that look much much better than AAA.
