Interesting. I wonder if they'll get the Red Shirt extras from the German disc or come up with all-new material (or both).

Finally!! Day one!! I've only seen one cut of the film. Was the terrible full screen Lionsgate DVD the theatrical version?

Never heard of this one before, but it sounds pretty interesting. If the price is right I might blind buy.

I'm a huge fan of it. It's an extremely fun flick, with high replay value.

I have the German disc, for the sake of those who will buy the SF edition I hope they do put it on, they are some great extras. But if its new stuff I may have to double dip...

Time to hit up Internet Movie Database - never heard of this one. I know there are at least a couple of other films with "Resurrected" in the title (an Ellen Burstyn film and something that William Friedkin directed) but I know very little about them. Definitely not blind buying anymore but if this is anything remotely like what I think it is I'll go for it.

Yeah, would be nice, that edition has a great list of features already (plus a better cover IMO). I've almost bought it several times, seems to be OOS on Diabolik now though so the Scream edition will be nice.

Nice. I know it's a super long shot, but it would be cool if Scream could find a workprint or something closer to O'Bannons original cut.

Edit: Ok just listened to the podcast and they confirm theatrical version only with deleted scenes as a bonus.

They implied that it will have most of the extras from the German disc.

Google says it's an archaic word for scatterbrain.

I had assumed it was a variation/pun on scatterbrain, but didn't know if it had any specific relevance to the actual movie.

I don't think they'll have them all since 2 of the 3 audio commentaries are in German. It's shame that they did not port over the great cover from the German Blu Ray, which has a reversible cover without the rating logo.

• Grotesque Melodies - interview with composer Richard Band (10:14 min.)
• Lovecraftian Landscapes - interview with production designer Brent Thomas (7:57 min.)

Great news!!! I almost imported a Region Free edition last month. Can't wait to see if the extra are similar to the German edition! After this, we need: Dagon, Necronomicon and I would not mind The Unnamable I & II!

EDIT: It's so funny when you watch the Trailer, and at the end, they announce the VHS with a retail price of $89.98!!!

Such a shame the complete film couldn't have been put back together.

I have the German digipak, so I doubt I will be double dipping. Glad this is getting a US release for those that want it though. It's a cool film.

Earlier this weekend I saw a tweet stating that the directors of The Void reference and study The Blob (1988) and The Resurrected (Shatterbrain) primarily for practical effects, so it's cool seeing this get a Blu-ray announcement. I'd never heard of it before, but O'Bannon has my interest.

Can't wait. I'd heard a lot of good things about it. Isn't it kind of lovecraftian? I'm thinking of the right movie?
