Default Flap on Sony Blu-ray cases?

It that thing supposed to be ripped off? It no longer snaps in on my cases...

That happens to mine occasionally. However, I can't imagine that it would hurt anything to rip it off. I know that those annoying tabs in some DVD cases are meant to be removed.

It is not only Sony case. What I do is open the case, and hold the flap down inside the case really hard for a couple of seconds, and that usually helps.

Your right, it is useless. But it does not bother me to much.

I've never had a problem with them. I do prefer the standard cases though.

Just push down the little flap and fold it, then close the blu-ray case. It won't break it so it works fine! I've been doing that to all my blu's that have the flap.

Yeah, they are made to be able to snap inside the case for easy opening and closing. I guess they're for security purposes, either way... DISAPPROVED!

That annoying flap will snap into a locked position if you fold it inside the case. You'll never have to worry about it again.

They're only on the cases as anti-theft latches, I'm sure theres a way they can be cut off easily.

Just press the snap down towards inside, it'll lock itself and that does it.

Guys, I heard if you fold in the flap inside the case, it actually locks in place. Any validity to this statement?

I've had this flap problem too. Thanks for the heads-up about rectifying it.
Before I learned how to fix it, I was calling it the 'appendix' of the case.

Oh man, I love those Sony style cases with the latches. Anyone want to trade some for some Warner like cases?
