Planet of the Apes (68) and HP Quickplay

Even with the newest updates I can't seem to get this bluray playing with HP Quickplay. It just sits on a black screen, no audio or anything. Anyone else have this problem?

Not with HP QuickPlay, but that is remarkably similar to what the old(er) WinDVD BD for VAIO does with a few of the newer discs.

You might want to consider a full version of PowerDVD Ultra or ArcSoft TMT.

They have yet to balk at any disc I have tried.

well solved the problem. apparently hp quickplay doesnt update to the latest version. you have to keep updating each time you download a new version until it is fully up to date. lame. thanks for the program advice though, i will look into arcsoft as i've heard its a really good program.

EDIT: of course i say this and then i actually go to play the movie and it doesnt work. i get the menu and everything and even the 20th century fox bluray logo and then it goes black and stays that way. methinks you are right, dadkins, i need a new program.

I gave up on the supplied WinDVD on these VAIOs! LOL!
Went for full programs and everything plays now!
