Cesar Romero is the best joker followed by Jack. Worst being Jared Leto.

Ben Affleck. Michael Keaton would be my second choice. Both make good Bruce Wayne's and Batman's.

Jack was not Joker...Jack was Jack only with makeup. Same stuff he did in Nest and The Shining and just about every other movie he has been in. Jack is great at playing Jack but never in 1989 did I see the Joker in the film only Jack. Cesar loses points because he was too stubborn to shave his damn mustache off! You could see the thing right through the makeup... Leto was awful so that leaves who? Yes you guessed it, one of the greatest performances of all time Ledger!

Funny, I prefer Keaton with Bale as a close second. There is something about the way Keaton layered his aloofness, quirkiness, mysteriousness, pain, and drive that is hard to beat. Bale gave great performances and the Nolan movies are better, but something about Keaton's performance was closer imo to how I see Batman. Then again, I grew up on those movies, so they may have influenced my concept of Batman.

I can't deny that I admire both Bale and Affleck in the role, but I went with Keaton as my favorite.

All opinions, but:

Michael Keaton is my favorite Batman so far, and was a charismatic Batman/Bruce Wayne with a sense of humor too in Batman 1989. His Batman suit, even with the mask that was welded solid to his torso, is also still my favorite batsuit design along with the classic Batmobile, though I do like the new Batman vs Superman suit too. After what happened with Batman Returns, I understand why he left the role.

Kevin Conroy is great as the voice actor.
Bale gave a believable performance as Batman, Adam West does his best, Affleck I have to see more of as Batman/Wayne, but he's good as Batman.

I agree, Cesar Romero is the best Joker of all time in my opinion. His over the top, hysterical laugh and over enthusiastic personality, fun to watch.

With Mark Hamill as the voice of the Joker being top for the animated/game version.

The new guy from Gotham is doing a good job as the Joker also.
It depends if you want a dark, evil Joker if you'll like Heath Ledger's Joker.
Jack Nicholson's Joker is brilliantly acted, and a few comical moments in there too with some classic one liners.
Jared Leto needed more screen time to be judged more fairly IMO. He was a cameo role in SSquad.
