Default DC Universe's "Titans"

Warner Bros. Television and DC Entertainment Announce All-New Live-Action Series “Titans,” from Executive Producers Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, To Debut In 2018

Quote:
“Titans” follows a group of young soon-to-be Super Heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In this action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven and many others. “Titans” is a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever.

“Titans” will be written by Akiva Goldsman (“Star Trek: Discovery,” “Underground”), Geoff Johns (President & Chief Creative Officer, DC Entertainment; “The Flash,” “Arrow”) and Greg Berlanti (“Arrow,” “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” “The Flash,” “Supergirl”). Goldsman, Johns, Berlanti and Sarah Schechter (“Arrow,” “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” “The Flash,” “Supergirl”) are executive producers of the series from Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

In “Young Justice: Outsiders,” the teenage Super Heroes of the DC Universe come of age in an animated world of super-powers, Super-Villains and super secrets. In the highly anticipated new season, the team faces its greatest challenge yet as it takes on meta-human trafficking and the terrifying threat it creates for a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy. Equally praised by critics and viewers for its impressive visuals and rich storytelling, “Young Justice” reached more than 25 million unique viewers in each of its two seasons on Cartoon Network. This passionate fan support set the stage for the new third season.

Sam Register (“Teen Titans Go!,” “Justice League Action”) is executive producer of “Young Justice.” Brandon Vietti (“Batman: Under the Red Hood,” “Superman Doomsday”) and Greg Weisman (“Star Wars Rebels,” “Gargoyles”) are producers of the series, produced by Warner Bros. Animation. Emmy Award winner Phil Bourassa (“Young Justice,” “Justice League Dark,” “Teen Titans: The Judas Contract”) serves as the series’ art director.

While I'm happy to see Titans get a live action iteration, Akiva Goldsman being attached concerns me. He worked on Batman Forever and Batman & Robin, in my book he can't be trusted

I wish Greg Berlanti wasn't involved.

I'd rather have Greg Berlanti over Akiva Goldsman. Berlanti may have been a part of Green Lantern movie but Goldsman did Batman Forever and Batman & Robin.
The upside is Geoff Johns being involved. I know most remember his Flash or Green Lantern run in comics but his first big DC stuff was Teen Titans and his run was very good so him being involved helps a lot!

A great idea for a show, I just hope this stupid DC VOD service does not wind up being it's downfall.

Filming update starts this fall

http://screenrant.com/dc-titans-tv-show-filming-start/

Still curious about the launch of this DC VOD service if it will film in Late Fall/Winter or will they just film all of the episodes and release spring 2018 alongside (probably) YJ S3.

I'm sure they'll all be filmed before they 'air', but I doubt they'll put them all up at the same time like Netflix. It'll probably be weekly like Hulu.

Hopefully Johns lays down a solid foundation for the show. He's being stretched awfully thin these days with commitments to comics, movies and television.

Im curious if Dick Grayson is going to start out as Robin in this series or Nightwing, based of other DC shows im guessing they want an older heros, but I would like to see them explore Titans with actual "Teen Titans"

Also given the start date I'm assuming either before or at Comic con we'll be told who is being cast for this show

Damian is the main Robin these days in all media. With a Nightwing movie coming, Dick will be Nightwing on this show.

I'm not sure we'll ever see a Batman media property again with Dick as Robin unless it's a retro version.

Considering its called Titans & not Teen Titans id say he will probably be Nightwing.

It was revealed recently that production begins in September, given how close that is I'm guessing come Comic Con we'll probably be told who will be playing each Titan

Nice Teen Titans it is!

Hopefully we get a small peek at this at NYCC this fall.

I am curious if it will premiere with launch of the service or if it will be YJ S3 or maybe both.

I still hope they decide to sell season passes for the shows IF* they don't also launch with a free ad supported model as well. Only way I see these shows getting the support they need to make it.

Doubtful on the sneak peek, show doesn't begin production until sometime in September. Best guess on Titans at NYCC would be them revealing more cast members or if it's connected to anything (i.e. Arrowverse, DCEU, standalone)
