Default Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band Blu-ray

Quote:
Sit back and let the evening go with Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, the 1978 musical spectacular featuring stunning reinterpretations of over twenty classic Beatles songs!

The one and only Billy Shears (multi-platinum recording artist Peter Frampton) and his best friends the Hendersons (Rock and Roll Hall of Famers The Bee Gees) are four young men from the quaint little town of Heartland. With superstardom calling, this fabulous foursome leaves Heartland – and Billy's beloved Strawberry Fields (Sandy Farina) – vulnerable to mean Mr. Mustard, who steals Sgt. Pepper's magical instruments for a fiendish, "evil force that would poison young minds, pollute the environment, and subvert the democratic process." It's up to our heroes to save everything they hold dear with the power of music, kindness, and heart.

Featuring performances by Aerosmith, George Burns, Steve Martin, Earth, Wind & Fire, and more, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is a magical, musical tour through some of the greatest songs ever written, and an astounding time capsule of the late 70s unlike anything you’ve ever seen or heard.

I saw this in the theater when I was (I think) 6 and haven't seen it since. I have a kind of fond memory. I'm afraid to watch it again.

you know in the realm of 'bad' movies' I kind of dug this, hope Universal releases this in 5.1 and not in 2.0

Never been a big Beatles fan, but I've always been curious about seeing this film, mainly because Frankie Howerd is in it.

One of the greatest Worst Movies of All Time! I absolutely love it! The DVD had a DTS 5.1 track that was pretty damn decent.

That graphic on the cover really puts across what you're in for... men wearing women's wigs marching around in silly costumes over a puke green sea.

Having never seen it, does it have the redeeming feature that Blues Brothers 2000 had: shit movie, awesome music? If Aerosmith, Frampton, The Bee Gees and Earth, Wind & Fire are strong, I'll put up with terrible non-musical bits.

Being a Beatles fan and Bee Gees fan, I'm totally down for this. It's bad, but I do like the music. I've got the soundtrack on vinyl.

I'd love to see Body Rock on blu-ray. Now THERE'S a movie that perfectly captures the tackiness of its era!

Look at Saturday Night Fever soundtrack and Frampton Comes Alive! covers. That's their real hair.

I bet Arrow will do Body Rock at some point.

And I thought Shout Factory was doing this one rather than Universal.
