I am plannng to get this since it is included in Amazon UK's 3 BDs for £20 but I have no idea if it will work in my region A player. Can anyone out there who owns this please confirm if it is region B locked or region-free?

The American release is only 12 dollars on US Amazon. Just buy that and choose something else from UK Amazon.

Fox released it worldwide, so no matter what it says on the packaging, any edition by them will play anywhere.

Not necessarily so: while their international releases are usually A,B and C they still regularly region A-lock their US releases of newer titles.
