UV codes that can't be redeemed on Vudu?

I just bought a UV code and tried to redeem it on Vudu, but it says it's invalid.

The guy I bought it from says it has to be redeemed on Flixster.

Does that sound right?

Are there UV codes that won't work on Vudu?

I've had a few that wouldn't redeem on VUDU, but they redeemed on Flixster, and vice versa.

Well that would suck for me.

I don't think Flixster is even available to me through my blu-ray player.

More specifically, they may only redeem on one of those two services, but since they're UV, they appear on both services afterwards for playback. I don't have to watch any of my UV movies on Flixster just because I redeemed them there.

I don't use Flixster but I have redeemed a few codes on it. Since it's UV they will port over to VUDU. You can always use a laptop to redeem it on there site. Also make sure to go into your UV account and link it so it does port to VUDU.

Just ensure that the title is UV on both Vudu and flixster, as long as that is the case it should transfer to Vudu without issue.

Man of Steel should have no issues porting from Flixster to VUDU.

When you create your Flixster account it should have you link your UV account. If not go check your profile and make sure it's linked. Then do the same with VUDU. As long as they're both linked to the same UV account (or locker) it should port fine.

Having to redeem on Flixster isn't unusual, BTW.

Yes, most UV Codes work on Vudu but the Codes are tied to the Studios. So it's best to go by the Code Sheet. A good Seller will give you instructions on where to Redeem. Sometimes they give you Links for the Code, and where to Redeem. Like people have said, you have to make sure you are Linked up to all the UV Sites and Providers.

Don't let the web page bother you. If and when you have UV troubles, Flixster support will fix you up, even when it's not their fault. Vudu... well they might reply saying they won't help you, or they might not reply at all. Vudu is the Wizard of Oz of UV vendors.

Most likely your code has already been redeemed.

It's possible this is one of those multiple use flixster codes we saw tons of some months back.
I've never had any issues resolving anything at both Flixster or VUDU. My advice is to call and not contact them by e-mail.

This. I believe it was. The seller is just double dipping on the sale. The Vudu redemption was already redeemed.

I remember there were a few codes redeeming multiple times, and sellers were just selling the same code over and over and over again.

It's not that this movie can't be redeemed on Vudu, 99.8% of UV movies can be. It's just that this code has already been redeemed on Vudu.

It says I'm in the wrong territory.

Which I assume means it's a UK or Canadian code.

If you have access to a proxy in the appropriate country, you can redeem it in Flixster and it will work in VUDU. Man of Steel is a code that works worldwide once redeemed.
