Wow, that's a shockingly good cast. I didn't think a My Little Pony of all things could pull talent like that.

Indeed it is an impressive cast. It's not the first time the series has acquired good talent; Weird Al Yankovic, Lena Hall, and Patton Oswalt have all appeared on the show, and William Shatner and Felicia Day will guest star in an episode next season.

Love the show so I definitely wanna see this. I hope this is not the finale but some seem to think it will be.

Considering the show has gotten: Weird Al, John de Lancie, Patton Oswalt, and William Shatner as guest stars; the fact that this movie with a big budget can get all those guys and girls isn't too shocking.

Poll - How many 30+ year-old men here are actually going to the theater to watch this alone?

Surprised that they went with 2D animation for this one.
I haven't watched the show in a long time but this looks like a borderline parody of the brand to me. I did make me laugh so that has to count for something.
I wouldn't see this in theaters because it doesn't look like anything I'd spend $15.00 to see. I'll hold out for the Blu-Ray.

omg yes...I dig it. I was wary of the animation but I can work with it. I know the BD will look sick. I hope they have crazy limited edition like a steelbook and digibook. I totally buy all of them. Heck, I'll buy it on Vudu when it drops just to be able to watch it a month early before the blu ray release.

This. I've lost interest in the show recently, but I wouldn't be opposed to renting the movie when it is released On Demand.

At first I wasn't sure about the animation but I understand why they had to go with it. Probably cheaper in the long run. Yes the flash does provide a good deal of uniformity for the show but it probably would have taken longer to do it in full cgi.

Also for those that stepped away from the show. Go and check out the episode.

The Perfect Pear

Yeah prepare for feels. lol

I watched the Brony documentary on Netflix and was so surprised about the fanbase. I watched a few episodes of the show just to check it out. It wasn't bad, but I didn't see anything that made it stand out or me want to keep watching it. That Brony documentary was excellent though.

It takes a bit for the show to pick up. About midway through season 1 is where it starts to be really entertaining. Season 2 and 3 are great. 4 was good, but I kind of lost interest after that. The brony fandom is just so... awful and cringey, it was hard to really look at the show the same. It kind of ruined the show for me after a while.

See the thing is that the fanboys in MLP are way better then Steven Universe ones. That show and fandom are utter trash. At least the MLP fandom doesn't bully someone into trying to kill themselves.
Also there are alot of fans of the show that are/serve in the military. A lot more then one would really ever think. The draw to the show for some military fans is that the show retains the core values of the military. Friendship = Comradery and that kind of stuff.

I am a fan of this group. I'm also in another military MLP group as well.

Other really bad fandoms are Naruto lol and TMNT oddly enough. Those people are like hardcore in your face if you say anything bad (TMNT). They also have this odd April banging the turtles thing that is gross.

If the entire movie is as colorful as that trailer, I really hope this gets a UHD release. The WCG and an HDR grade would be stunning.
