Yeah, I doubt they wanted to hire the original actors to reprise the roles of 19 and 21 year olds now that they're both in their mid 40's and 50's lmfao. They didn't have the original actors in the remake for 1 either.

Age doesn't have as much an effect on voice actors as you think. Voice manipulation to act younger kr older is an art and I'm pretty sure the voice actors know how they did the original and how to imitate it.

This is a crappy move by company Imo and not a nice sign but they've done it before with REmake so they have pulled it off but Resi 2 is arguably a more beloved title.

The early RE games aren't exactly famed for their voice acting. Is it any surprise that Capcom would recast?

Considering that they stuck with her for nearly 15 years, yeah, it's kinda surprising.

She was already replaced on Revelations 2 and it was fine. Court isn't even a good actress anyways.

According to Court, they'd been looking to replace her for a while. She wasn't approached for Revelations 2 and neither was she approached for the remake.

This particular game is supposed to be for the fans, isn't it? "We do it", so why not do it right and hit those nostalgic beats. I've played RE2 and CV so many times, she is the character. Plus they had her back for Darkside Chronicles last gen, she sounded great.

I mean come on, you're going to sell millions just from the name alone. VAs don't even make that much. Pay the lady the extra $40 Capcom you cheap bastards.

They probably have little to do with each other. Revelations has already come out last gen in HD so the porting work will be minimal (which explains why it's on Switch, if it sells 5000 copies they're still making money off it). Even IF Capcom is handling it in house the team size would be very small.

That being said I don't even expect it to be an ongoing project with a full team right now either. Everybody came out all at once announcing heart feels remasters and or new games in beloved franchises. It's pretty telling when Shenmue 3 will probably be the first one out.

No,I actually think resident evil 2 remaster will be out in the 1st 3 months of 2018. Shenmue 3 release is getting out of hand silly. It was announced way back in E3 2015,let that sink in for a moment. Hopefully it wont be still unreleased by the next e3,that would be bonkers.

It really depends on what approach they're taking. If they stick with the classic gameplay, then that control scheme might not work very well. Heck, it might even be impossible, if they go with pre-rendered backgrounds.

I tried awhile ago to play my gamecube version and I just can't do the RE1/2 controls anymore its such an antiquated way of playing.


I would love if they incorporated the 5 controls as that was RE at its best in my opinion.
