Default Leave it to Beaver question

I've never watched it and my son is curious so I may buy the set

Do many all take place in the home? Are there many like at the park, movies, things like that? How many shows in other settings?

They did use other locations. Check it out on YouTube before spending money on it. They have clips and full episodes.

One of the better family shows of the late 50s, early 60s. 234 episodes during it's 6 season run. Alot of time at home, school, movies, and park.

The creators of the show went on to produce The Munsters, which was a wonderful mash-up of Universal's monsters and taking the piss out of the wholesomeness of Beaver.

I love that phrase. Americans don't use it so I never get to hear it.

So I assume wholesomeness is on your bad list then?

I love the Munsters, one of my fav's but not becasue it denigrates more wholesome family shows, but becasue it is good.

Leave It To Beaver is a great nostalgia/wholesome show for me, thoroughly enjoy it!
