'Bout time someone started a thread for this one. I was going to myself but wasn't sure of the fanbase for it; Judging by the enthusiasm shown and the way the BD seems to be selling I'd say the film is more popular than I thought. I first watched the film theatrically upon release (I must've been 8 or 9) and I instantly loved it. It's one of the rare films I still enjoy immensely even in my 40's and this HD upgrade looks like it'll enhance that enjoyment even more. Everything about the movie screams horror perfection: the great eerie soundtrack, the performances, and especially the storyline, which feels fresh and different from the typical slasher fare of the era. Can't wait for my copy to arrive (hopefully by Friday).

BTW, this release is especially exciting because it's one of those films that couldn't be easily obtained on home media because of the scarcity of the original VHS video release. Before Shriek Show's DVD release the only way to see the film was trying to find a copy at Blockbuster Video. So many films have been re-released so many times that this one still feels fresh and fun.

I didn't know this was on sale until last night, luckily I didn't miss out on that special price deal. I'm curious is anybody just waiting for the 88 Films release in the UK?

I received mine yesterday from Ronin. Excellent transfer compared to the old DVD, and literally packed with new bonus features.

Neat little magnet bonus too.

I read that Tom McLoughlin is working on a remake?

Why are there two pages for ODN on bluray.com? Are there two separate bluray state for this title???

Also I saw this as a kid back in 1986 & I could swear on anything that it was called "Mausoleum" I remember the title card come up!
So as an adult I remembered the entire plot but when the DVD of Mausoleum arrived it was not the movie I remember - fast forward almost ten years later and I found out it was called "One Dark Night" plot exactly as I remembered.
So where there prints in the USA under the title "Mausoleum"?!?! Or am I insane?

Yes there are 2 versions. A regular one from kino and one with a slipcover that's exclusive to roninflix.

MAUSOLEUM is an entirely different movie. Code Red also has plans to release that one.

The Ronin exclusive also has a reversible wrap with the same artwork as the slip cover.

I know that Mausoleum - but I swear to God ODN was called "Mausoleum" on a VHS from Chicago 1986!

That was one of its alternate names according to IMDB.

I KNEW IT!
it took me a good 25 years or so to find this amazing film as the titled "ODN".
I totally forgot the actors that were it in - I just remembered lightning from the eyes and corpses floating and falling on a bunch of girls and I was so scared as a kid I was sick to my stomach!

Pretty much a blind buy for me since I remember next-to-nothing about this when I watched it as a wee lad. Very simple story with scared that were adequate for the time it was made in. For this simplicity, I enjoyed it. It was just. Good old fashioned throw back. Happy it's out, happy it's now a part of my movie library.

I'm very pleased with this Blu-ray. Code Red has gone above and beyond to give us the best possible presentation of this great little horror movie from 1982. The film looks very good in HD, the sound is impressive (the soundtrack now thumps just like I remember it from the theater) and the extras and packaging are superb. BTW, EG Daily is still hot at 55! Holy cow. Highly recommended - and get it at Ronin for the best slipcover ever produced.
