HOLY SHIT.
I'm almost as shocked that they're including the video version as I am that they're releasing it on Blu in the first place. Great news! This flick is worth it just for Sandy Dennis and her fish. |

If this turns out to be a new line of Sony horror titles, I hope they do Night of the Living Dead '90 w/ correct color timing.

I'm certainly down with Sony self-releasing their older genre titles themselves, instead of licensing to Twilight Time (overpriced / limited), or Mill Creek (cheap, but barebones w/ poor specs).
As for this particular film, I don't recall being fond of it. But it's been a long while. I'm certainly willing to revisit, if the price is right. |

I've never heard of the film, but a niche catalog title from Sony that isn't BD-R, I'd like to thank the god who made that happened. Either Sony is waking up or Robert Englund pulled the right strings, we'll see. If this does indeed start a new line, hopefully it will lead to a Blu-ray of Evil Dead Unrated, I know it's new, but so far only Japan has the unrated version on disc while everywhere else is digital, I have my fingers crossed.

And the unsung arthouse masterpiece that is Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (assuming Sony still owns it). Plus Candyman!
And that's not even mentioning pimped out individual re-releases of When a Stranger Calls and Happy Birthday to Me! I'll be very excited if this becomes a line akin to Vestron! |
