Region Changes by Firmware - Blu-ray Forum

Hi there, just a stupid question.... if I have had North American BD player with region code and update then the firmware to an European model, will it change the region code and the system to PAL!?

I dunno if this is always this way, but my Panny (BD30) won't allow such tricks - it can only accept the firmware of the same region, as the one initially installed on it.
