Default Using usb portable hard drive with Ps3

Does Sony PS3 have a windows explorer box like the desktops that will allow a person to open up various external devices like USB hard drives. I am trying to connect my usb hard drive to my ps3 and trying to open up movie files/music/photos

> Display All on the hard drive icon that pops up under the media category (Video, Music, Photo) you're interested in.

HDD needs to be FAT32 formatted. Create three folders called MUSIC, VIDEO and PHOTO on the HDD with your computer, put supported media in and just hitting on the HDD icon lists the contents.

Ah, thats probably why. My 160 gig hard drive is a NTSF format. When I right click on the drive in Windows XP and click format it doesnt give me a FAt32 option.

I believe people have been FAT32 formatting their drive using that. Or if you know someone with a Mac it's a piece of cake with Disk Utility.
