Wow, that was unexpected.

How can they carry Boss Baby and not Ghost in the Shell?

Boss Baby 3D should have been at Target and GitS 3D should have been at BB.

I would have bought both yesterday with slips, instead of waiting & wondering with Amazon.

Boss Baby made a lot more $$ at the Box Office.

Best Buy probably wants a title that will sell easier.

Watching The Boss Baby at home was fun. The 3-D on this film is similar to the 3-D on the Kung Fu Panda films. Nice layer separation and plenty of popouts. While the 3-D is a slight notch below Nwave standards, it's still pretty damn good for a hollywood production.

Hopefully, Dreamworks will continue to push this kind of 3-D when they start working with Universal.

Cool to hear, thanks.
I know someone who posts in the 3D forum and isn't a 3D fan was saying awhile back that this Boss Baby 3D movie wouldn't happen on blu ray 3D in the US... But here it is.

What's one of the best 3D scenes in the movie?

Early in the film, about 20 minutes in, The Boss Baby is conducting a "meeting" with his baby compatriots. The main character, Tim, is recording the meeting on a tape. When the Boss Baby and his minions find out that they've been recorded, they chase after Tim to get the tape. The whole chase sequence is pretty fun and has some nice popouts.

The end of the film when they face off against the villain also has plenty of good material.

Is this title any good in 4K? I can't find the 4K thread dedicated to it

I've never considered watching this film in 4K. The 3-D is so well done, that I wouldn't even consider watching this flat.

The Blu-Ray.com reviewer believes that a 2K DI was used for the UHD disc. He also says that the HDR isn't all that impressive. If you want to watch the flat version, buying a regular blu-ray makes more sense than UHD.

Just got through watching this in 3D and I agree the 3D is up there with the best-of-the-best animated 3D titles. Excellent 3D and I really hesitated to watch it as I was getting tired of "animation", but this put the 3D spark of interesting entertainment back in mix!

Well after watching Despicable Me 1 and 2 and Secret Life of Pets in 4K and being so blown away by all three of them I thought maybe this title too was up to that level of UHD quality.
Sorry again for posting in the 3D thread, but I couldn't find the UHD thread dedicated to this title my whole family wants to watch

4K animation has been my best experience so far, with titles produced by Illumination (Despicable Me, Minions).
Unfortunately I cant afford to double dip on every single new release[emoji4]

We seem to be on a roll here, with a series of 3D releases that put 4K to shame.

Kong: SI 3D, Ghost in the Shell 3D, Boss Baby 3D all outshine 4K.

4K seems to be on auto-pilot with meh releases that don't inspire.

These 3D releases will be the ones people will treasure for years to come.

Also the new xXx movie is better in 3D than 4K:

Average movie, 3/5.

The 3D was a little disappointing too after all of the rave reviews 4/5.

It's good, but in no way is it Madagascar 3 levels of awesomeness.

Wait til it's on sale x

I love this movie. I wish I saw in it 3D in theaters. I could tell many shots were made for 3D.

Couldn't agree more. Wish they would just bundle 3D and 4K together like they did for Kong: SI. But going forth...I probably get the 3D version from now on if it's available as either or.
