Disney Disney Classics Limited Collector's Edition Boxset

It appears Spain has released a "Disney Classics" DVD Boxset, which features 50 Disney animated movies on DVD. The set in BEAUTIFUL and it seems that it also features a lithograph. No word on whether it will be released in US (or other countries) and/or blu-ray.

I'd err toward that being a bootleg. There have been variations on this sort of thing in the bootleg realm for a long time.

Looking into it, I do see listings for it on different Mexican e-retailers but it seems fishy still.

I saw it in videoperola.com.br, which I've always trusted for upcoming releases, since it's usualy the first to list a product's release date and cover artwork. As for the Disney Boxset, I l love the artwork on the box, dvd cases and discs so much, that I'd be really bumbed if it's fake, or if it won't be released in US (or other countries)

LOL at putting that overrated Frozen in with all those 90's Perfection Disney renaissance movie. Frozen isn't a classic. Bootleg or not Frozen doesn't belong in that set

Looks like a bootleg to me too.

In particular it would be a very un-Disney marketing move to put all of your most popular movies in one boxset.

These boxsets are rampant in Asia though.

Please don't call it overrated. Saying that pretty much negates the positive feelings other people have about it.

How is the most succesful animated film of ALL time overrated? It grossed more than 1 billion in the worlwide box-office and Disney is still earning millions from the movie's merchandise. Either you like the movie or not, it's definetely not overrated. It's annoying that, once a movie becomes succesful, everyone starts hating it
As for the package, it has movies from pretty much every Disney "era", that's why it includes both Frozen & Tangled.

I'm willing to defer to people here saying that it's likely a bootleg...

but damn, they put a lot of effort into making it look pretty nice, for a bootleg.

Both Mexican Best Buy and Walmart have listed the product (release date: 06/09/2017), so I'm pretty sure it's not a bootleg, after all.

Give me 4600 dollars, I'll give you all my definitely not bootlegged Disney blu-rays, and just buy them again with cash to spare. If you want lithographs, I'll even throw in Bambi and Lion King from the DMC, minty fresh.

Nice set but too expensive. Easier for me to just buy the ones I want but don't have individually, since it's a pretty low number anyway.

I think that's Mexican Pesos, which translates into about $260 USD.

That would make more sense. I just saw the $ and didn't think about translating the currency.

Twenty years from now, there are going to be tons of people looking back at Frozen just the way we look at Lion King now.

Both (Mexican) Best Buy and Walmart have listed it as an upcoming release, so I doubt these stores would ever sell bootleg copies.

I'm not big into Frozen. Not bad, certainly, but not great, and I could not care less that it made money. Shoot, Disney themselves were caught off guard by it, kinda like Davy Crockett in 1954. They were having so many problems with it, they were still re-writing the film six months out from release. I was told they felt lucky to get out of it alive. They had no idea it would perform as well as it did. I can completely understand how someone could feel underwhelmed by it. Not bad, not great. Throw in social media overkill of parents posting all those videos of their little girls dressed up like Elsa singing, "Let It Go", and you get a backlash from people sick to death of the whole thing. Completely understandable. To each their own.

Perfection Disney? I didn't know Snow White, Pinocchio, Fantasia, Dumbo and Bambi were produced in the 90's.

If it had made less money, it would have been more beloved. That's frustrating. Every single film that becomes a "phenomenon" with a huge box office success and buzz around it, people immediately start hating it (Titanic).

I believe that the "accepting yourself" message of the film is more powerful than the family one, to which many people can relate to. Believing in you, accepting your difference (every person on this planet is different than the next one) and "letting go" of the people who judge you is powerful and both women & men (relate to it) & like this film, but of course, there are exceptions.
