So, I generally use iTunes these days, but I logged in to my VUDU account today and noticed I had 6 movies in SD, that I never purchased:
1. Away From Her 2. Paranormal Activity 3. The Producers (2005) 4. Psycho (1998) 5. Soul Survivors 6. Valentine's Day I'm not able to draw any connection to any of these films. At first, I thought it might have been my sister-in-law, as a couple of the movies appear to be the type she would buy, but she confirmed she had not purchased them. I checked my VUDU purchase history, and all these show as purchases on my account. Just to be clear, I was not charged for these. They just magically popped up in my account. Has this happened to anyone else before? Not going to complain about free movies, it was just weird to see. |

I've since replaced five of them with HDX, namely Crocodile Dundee, Battlestar Galactica (1978), The Italian Job, Big Trouble in Little China, Master and Commander |

I finally went and checked them on myuv.com. Sure enough, they all have a purchase date of April 13, 2013 from VUDU. I'm pretty sure that's the day I signed up for UV.
Just curious as to why they showed up in my account now, if they were granted when I initially signed up. Even after 4 years, UV still does things I don't understand. |

I remember the four promotional movies given to me. It was irritating to me that they were SD quality. If your going to give something away give it away, don't half a$$ it. I remember asking to pay the difference to upgrade them to HD if available. "Oh no, you'll have to pay the full price for an HD quality version sir". I believe that was the beginning of my frustration dealing with VUDU.
