Not really sure what to make of this. Trailer made it look quite watchable, but might just as easily be no good. Could go either way.

It seems to be a standard Weinstein prestige pic. But it hints at some tense standoffs between Cumberbatch and Shannon, so it could be interesting.

This isn't the type of film I'd typically be rushing to see, but I'm quite fond of Gomez-Rejon's distinctive filmmaking with its wild, roving camera. I loved his first two, very different, films. This will be a must see in theaters for me.

I hate reading film reviews. Tons of them sound like pretentious whiny asshats. IDGAF about Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic either.
I saw the trailer, looks good to me, and gonna watch this in cinemas. That's all I need.

Movie looked bad from the trailer and from me not liking the director's previous work, so this doesn't upset me from the slightest.

I thought the trailer looked okay, but I didn't see the film as being all that interesting. I love Benedict Cumberbatch, but I probably will never watch this.

Same here. Even after seeing the trailer, my initial thought was that the Michael Shannon film to see this season is still "The Shape Of Water".

I'm curious if this movie will ever be released on Blu-ray, DVD, or Digital? I wasn't sure if anyone had heard any news. I'm a history freak and I want to see it just to see how accurate it is.
But the last I heard since the film was pulled from release in the theaters following the sexual misconduct allegations that arose against Harvey Weinstein.

Alfonso Gomez-Rejon’s “The Current War” has been saved by new distributor Upstart 101. Deadline reports the company has closed a domestic distribution deal for the movie and is planning to use the title as its first major theatrical release this summer. Upstart 101 paid around $3 million for “The Current War.”
