Pupi Avati's Zeder, coming soon from X-rated, based on a brand new 2K Arri scan. Rejected old Italian HD master used as base for all other releases vs new master.

Oh boy.. imagine if this sells much better than the Code Red blu-ray (and has the english dub.. and proper soft coded english subtitles for the italian audio track).

Any info on cover art or release date?

Wow, the new German master wipes the floor with the old master. Bad news for Code Red. The lousy subtitles are another mark against the Code Red disc.

Same one as Code Red I believe, but additional work was done to improve it.

Yeah the picture looks nice. Big improvement imo. I hope it is English as well.

Guess they'll announce it later today or tomorrow. Hope it's English friendly (proper English subtitles). So glad I didn't buy Code Red's hack job.

So far it all sounds excellent. The few screenshots posted of the new transfer look really good.

I'm not getting my hopes too high regarding the English subs, though. I don't want to get disappointed by another set of dubtitles, so until I hear otherwise I am just going to assume that's exactly what we're going to get.

Shame they couldn't have included the english dub too, but if it has proper english subtitles (or at the very least, proper digital subtitles and not yellow text in black boxes) then that would suffice.

PS: aren't there proper english subtitles for the italian audio on a prior DVD release (be it US or Italian) out there somewhere?

Yeah, the Italian DVD nailed it; all these new blus just needed to copy that.

I've asked X-Rated twice by pm on Facebook about the English subtitles, and they're not responding.
