I'm kicking off the horror season this weekend. The last few years I have been watching titles I haven't seen but this year I want to have a mix of new titles but also revisit the classics. I would like to get ideas from members.
I've bought a few new titles like Screams Black Christmas, Arrow's Children of the Corn, The Dead Zone Australian import. Halloween Collection of course. Dawn/Day/Land of the Dead. Screams Return of the living Dead, The Thing, Carrie, Child's Play, Texas Chainsaw 2. Evils Deads Conjuring 1&2 The Haunting American Werewolf in London Monsters Universal Collection Some Hammer films Nightmare on Elm streets Last edited by ROSS.T.G.; 09-26-2017 at 02:47 PM. |

Will do. I bought it last year so I'm eager to watch it. It's been years since I've watched it.

it's always horror season at my house. i'll probably trot out a few just for the season though. i try to stay away from the usual stuff though. the Halloween films will be on tv all month so no point and there seems to be a few others that cable beats this time of year.

Both the Short and the full film were great. The feature length film was far better than I expected it to be as well. At $10 or less it's such an easy obvious recommendation for the Halloween season for folks that haven't snagged it already.

I've been watching a few, I guess I need to look through my collection and make a list. I can never decide. Other than the major franchises, I never know what I am going to watch as I like to have a big list of one that I am interested in and then big from there.

One thing that is pretty awesome this year is how Friday the 13th falls into October so I can watch my favorites of the series (parts 1,2,4,6 and 8) on the 13th and then Crystal Lake Memories on Saturday the 14th. Only thing that sucks is that I tend to watch those and The Nightmare on Elm Street films near the end of my marathon so I can get Freddy vs. Jason in right after but I'll just split it up for a change this year.

I think some people are too kind with this film. I didn't think the concept was at all that compelling, and frankly I couldn't make it through the first fifteen minutes of the movie before I turned it off.

This is a great time of the year. I'm looking forward to a month long marathon of horror films. I have no interest in all the predictable choices that have been beaten to death on these boards. My tastes run to a mix of some of the old Universal chestnuts, and more atmospheric films in line with the Fall and the Halloween season.

This year I might avoid the usual stuff I watch every October. I'll be mostly watching blind buys, first time on Blu-ray, and revisiting movies I haven't in watched years. I'll probably even stream some stuff on Netflix.

I'm starting on the 1st aswell. These are including my pre-orders for October as well, and they are in no Particular order but I will be saving the more "Halloween themed" films like Halloween, trick R Treat...etc for the 31st. Here's my list:
Hack-O-Lantern The Slayer Satan's Little Helper Trick or Treats Trick R' Treat Night of the Living Dead Night of the Demons Hocus Pocus Tales From the Crypt (TV seasons) 976-Evil Rawhead Rex Cult of Chucky Wish Upon Psycho 1-4 Demon Wind Bloodbeat Just Before Dawn Night Breed Annabelle Creation Night School Final Exam Hide And Go Shriek Mardi Gras Massacre Texas Chainsaw Massacre Halloween (All films) People Under the Stairs Dead Silence 13 Ghosts Sinister 1-2 Friday the 13th 1-4 All I've come up with so far. I'll likely be adding more to the list as I go. |

I’m also trying to avoid my standard line up and keep it to movies I have never seen. Currently I have the box sets for ‘Phantasm, ‘The Omen,’ ‘Amityville Horror,’ and ‘The Exorcist’ and will probably round out with some scream/arrow releases. Of course I’ll be watch my standard triple feature the weekend before of ‘Halloween,’ ‘The Lost Boys,’ and ‘Hocus Pocus’ on The actual day as well.
