Harry Potter Blu's $14.99 at Blockbuster

okay, so here is another promo i came across in my shift today. similar to kill bill vol1, golden compass and shoot em up, blockbuster has also recently reduced their price on Harry Potter (Chamber of Secrets) and Harry Potter (Goblet of Fire) to $14.99 each on blu-ray (brand new). I dont know why only these titles from the series currently reduced, as opposed to all of them, but just thought i'd let those enthusiast know in case their looking to pick it up. it was in today's price changes, so not sure how long this promo is gonna last, but i'd speculate for at min 5 days to a week (minimum). will update if more go on sale soon. thanks.

Is the "2 DVDs for $20 - regular $14.99 ea" still available... and apply to BD? There is still signage up for this promo at one of the Windsor stores.

you know what, thats a great question.. i'm not sure. i didnt even think of that option as an extra discount, i'll go in tomorrow and check with my store manager and get back to you on that one.

Is Kill Bill Vol. 1 still $14.99? I think I saw it at my store for $19.99 a week or so ago. Could their price be mislabeled or something? Thanks thecardman23.

yes, i just checked today at my store and its still listed at $14.99.

with response to oden24, are the harry potters part of the 2 for 20 deal. my boss says he dosnt think so only bcuz he cant imagine an additional sale on top of the 14.99 prices, but sometimes the system does an addition automatic discount (with 2 for 20) so there is a chance it may work. i'd try it out at whichever store your visiting. got nothing to loose.

I'm almost certain it will work, I'm assuming the 2 for $20 discount is applied by a barcode scan. Retail BDs and DVDs are the same as far as B-Busters POS computers are concerned (no rent codes to distinguish between BDs and DVDs).

I don't plan on purchasing the Potters that are on sale (I have them on HDDVD )... however it would be nice to know for future titles. If you have a customer purchase both... or any other 2 titles marked at $14.99, try to apply the barcode.

Could be applied to the Kill Bill's???

actually the 2 for 20 USE to be applied discount via barcodes, but our systems have since been updated so the discounts are applied automatically when the system is 'totaled' and bluray titles tend do come up in our system differently, but your right, it is possible it could work cuz it may be based on price point. so i'll try it the next time someones buying them and be sure to let you know. kill bill 1 is still 14.99 but both stores i've worked at recently (pickering -whites) and (ajax-north) are sold out. kill bill 2 is 19.99 so not part of that promo. thanks
