HUZZAH! More Cannon goodness! Never seen it before, but the trailer looks like it's more of the same like Breakin' and Breakin' 2 - just less West Coast colorful California and more East Coast gritty. Day one for me!

Wow, just wow at the trailer.
I never thought Ice could be so wack. Glad I never dug up this nugget when collecting his tapes and later re-collecting tunes on bearshare & limewire. Maybe I did but deleted it and forgot about it, but I do have other early crap like "Reckless". If he is on the features I'll have to be in, otherwise I don't think i can pay Shout prices for what looks to be a bad time-capsule. Not sure how I missed this movie, not really sad I did.

I enjoyed this more than the Breakin' movies but I just bought the DVD this year and don't feel much inclination to upgrade it.

I used to have a recorded version of this on VHS when I was a kid. Even back then I felt this movie was cheesy.

Easy pass. This movie is like a bad joke that goes on for too long and never hits the punchline.

Yeah, and how about I had just talked to a Shout Factory insider about a slew of titles in a PM, and he confirmed that NONE of those titles were currently on the radar of Shout....yet, "Rappin'" is........................................

I asked about, "Tank" (1984) James Garner; "Blue Collar" (1978) Paul Schrader masterpiece with Richard Pryor, Harvey Keitel, and Yaphet Kotto; "Talk Radio" (1988) Oliver Stone; "Iceman" (1984) Timothy Hutton; "The Border" (1982) Jack Nicholson, Harvey Keitel, Warren Oates; ALL of which are Universal titles that Shout could easily access..... (I just went ahead and imported German blus of "Blue Collar", "The Border", and "Tank")... and I asked about "Renegades" (1989) action flick with Kiefer Sutherland and Lou Diamond Philips; and "White Sands" (1992) action flick with Willem Dafoe, Mickey Rourke, and Samuel L. Jackson; both of those are Morgan Creek, which Shout could easily access.... and finally I asked about a blu upgrade for "Off Limits" (1988) a film Shout already has on DVD... They told me that NONE of these are in the works....

Yet, "Rappin' " IS..... and they wonder why physical media suffers....Jesus....

Not to mention that Shout Factory's Blu-ray of Big Bad Mama (Roger Corman movie starring Angie Dickinson) is a BD-R. This is a travesty of epic proportions that the Trump Administration needs to step in and handle as soon as possible.

Oh, the answer is simple. Those movies aren't nearly as awesome as this one is.

Is the BD-R of Big Bad Mama an actual Shout! release?

Here it is.

I don't, however, see it on Shout Factory's website like I used to. Maybe something's going to happen.

Watched my copy last Friday - and yeah, my original assessment of "Urban East-Coast Breakin'" was dead on. Pretty much the same goofy plot as Electric Boogaloo, the same plot points you could see coming from a mile off (although I didnt think there'd be an actual knife fight at the end. I thought those two would have settled it with a rap battle).

Was it any good? Naw. Was it entertaining? Hell yeah. I think given my druthers, I'd watch either Breakin' movie over this one, but this was fine if you are into goofy Eighties pop culture.

Why do the caps in the review look out of focus? Is the transfer that bad?! Or is it the cinematography?
