Default PS3 w/ Harmony 880 - PopUp Menu possible?

Hey guys,

I got the Harmony 880 recently - got everything to work with the Nyko Blu-Wave - but how did you all get the pop-up menu on Blu-rays mapped to the remote?

Thanks to anyone who can answer.

Not likely. You can press triangle and manually go to it.

I have the 880. Pretty easy to setup. I don't recall the language thing but if you have any problems at all call their tech support. They are in the U.S. and fantastic. I used them a few times in the beginning and they were all super knowledgeable and helpful.

Somebody said they got it to work - maybe some kind of multi-step function?

This thing didn't come with a manual - so, I don't have much to go on.

I think I just setup the Menu button for that... but I don't know for sure, I also use the Harmony One.

I'm pretty sure my 'menu' button takes me to the BD menu. Triangle takes you to the PS3 disc menu.

But doesn't that just take you to the "Main" menu?

I'm looking for an option to get the "Pop-Up" to display while playing the movie. I don't want the movie to stop and go to the Main menu.

I believe it's the "Square" button. You can assign that action to any button or custom action on your remote and it will work.

I'll give it a shot (later, my kid is playing Rock Band now).

Thanks!

Phone support is only valid for 60 days after purchase now. And actually, they aren't in the US. The techs I got were all UK [may have been because of escalation though].

If it works similarly to the 550 and the Harmony XBox remote...... you just need to go into the custom settings and map the triangle button to a button on the 880. I THINK you will need the remote that came with the blu-wav to do so. It's been a while... sorry I couldn't be more specific.

No...... because there is no PS button on the blu wav remote to program it with and I dont' think Harmony has that button set up as one of the custom options.

I have the Harmony 550 and the standard mapping of the "Menu" from the Blu-Wave was for the Pop-up Menu. I was worried about that until I tested it and it worked. Beautiful!

Yes, I did thanks.

Too bad about the "no PS" button. I really like that feature while playing music.

Oh well, I'm still pretty happy about having "One Remote to Rule Them All!"

me and my wife are really digging the Harmony.

Although one iritating feature that happens every once in a while is when im trying to switch "activities".

Say Im watching TV and I decide I want to watch a Bluray. So I switch activities...well the TV was already on, so when I switch activities the Harmony turns the TV off thinking it was off trying to turn it on.

...but it only does this once in a while.
