As 2008 winds down I figured I was going to a poll/contest for 2008 mp3 forum. I figure a free MP3 download from Wal-Mart.com. I got it with a CD I bought and figured we could get some traffic in here

Pretty simple, contest is open to anyone/anywhere, code will be delivered via pm and winner will be chosen by server random by admins. Contest will end Dec 27, 2008

There's a lot better music out there than what's on the radio, that's what bugs me about these yahoo or iTunes or amazon's "best of" lists. But my favorite off of this list is I'm Yours by Jason Mraz, or my runner up is Love Lockdown by Kanye, lol it's just so damn catchy!

That's not the least bit surprising to me.... my 18 year old's iPod is filled with music from the 80's. Freaks him out a little bit that I know all the words to music that he's listening to.... the look on his face is priceless. So it's pretty neat that those artist have a new generation following their music.

I pitty any one who calls what Lady Gaga makes music (don't mind Katy Perry though I know shame on me) . I mean Poker Face come on. Can it even be considered a song.

Led Zeppelin they made real art.

"Old Time Rock and Roll" (great song by the way) is where it's at. Old Time rock and roll is anything before about 1997. That put's me at half the age I am know. I know holy I'm young.

What I meant was that the current generation is following those artists and their music from the 80's and are also following some of those same artists from the 80's that are still making (new) music. In other words - this generation is more inclined to listen to the new music those 80's artists are putting out. I was a teenager for most of the 80's and in my opinion those were some of the best rock n roll years ever (late 70's too) ... my son actually agrees with me on this point. I saved all my ticket stubs from those 80's concert years, I must have 35 or so of them. My son's pretty envious of that lol! Sorry I didn't mean to hijack your thread!
