Default Who here has watched "The Fall" on blu-ray?

When I compared the video to those promotional pictures, the video seems to have a very heavy greenish yellow tone.
Is that normal?

I saw the screenshots on the review section of "The Fall" BR page and DO NOT worry about those colours.

The yellow and green that you see on those screenshots are there intentional (be it because the scene is set during sunset (yellow) or its set somewhere green, just to bring out that colour in the scene) but if you're worrying that those yellow and green hues on those screenshots are intense...DO NOT WORRY, they are not that harsh on the actual BR disc.

THE FALL Blu-ray is truly FLAWLESS! hope this helps.

Visually yes, it is great, as for story, while it may not be a strong one (it's very fantastical) it's still believable enough and the performances from both Pace and the young Untaru are great, their chemisty REALLY shine on screen and is another driving force that makes the viewing of THE FALL perfect!

Default Just saw The Fall tonight.

Just saw The Fall on bd for the first time and man, was that amazing. I did notice that all the colors in the film were very vibrant, they popped out, and at times I caught myself squinting because they were so vivid and bright. But I didn't notice an overall yellow/green hue to the film.

Also, I kind of felt bad when Governor Odious just got his ass beat, all he wanted to do was just take a seat on that step in the pool. He just wanted to relax and recoup from that beating. Poor guy.

Actually I thought the Fall was pretty perfect on Blu-ray (PQ/SQ). It was also a pretty good movie.

It requires a certain taste. My brother and I loved it in theatres so I bought it and showed it to my parents; my mom liked it and my dad thought I was an idiot for showing it to him (but he didn't like No Country for Old Men either).

It's a strange story, if the preview really interests you then go for it.

Also yes, the picture is amazing. The waving feild of grass was a color I'd not yet seen on a television set and it was beautiful.

Yes and yes (I think).

The film as presented on Blu-ray has a very noticeable green/yellow push in many scenes. I did not see this theatrically, so I have no frame of reference for comparison but I assume this is intentional. Regardless, this is a gorgeous film and one that I found to be surprisingly engaging even beyond the lush visuals with an excellent performance from child actress Catinca Untaru.

I posted some additional shots of this in the Blu-ray Screenshot Thread if you are interested.

Great movie. Awesome PQ/AQ. I had no idea what it was about when I rented it but really enjoyed it. Put it on my Xmas wish list. Here's to hoping.
