Default Now this is what you call batman :)

This will always be my favourite batman i just cant get used to bale as batman and hate the new batmobile also it is too long in my opinion and drags in places. This one has everything i want in a batman film runs at a good pace with plenty of action around every corner but saying that its a real shame i dont like dark knight as the joker is amazing. The picture quality should be good as the special edition dvd was a huge improvement on the original dvd.Ive changed the photo to get it in focus properly for you so i hope you like it.Merry Christmas blu-ray fans

Dude, resize your picture so it doesn't take-up 2 pages in width.

LOL you cant get used to Bale as Batman? I cant get used to Keaton as Batman. He is just so short and non threatening. And don't get me started on Nicholson's Joker, its like a kids movie villian and after seeing Ledger's Joker I can never go back to this cheesy version. And I love Nicholson as an actor, just think his Joker was terrible and seeing the character done so well just makes this original performance worse.

The new Batmobile is supposed to fit in with the whole "realistic" Batman type of movie. And the Batmoblie in your movie isnt practical at all. He needs to be able to get past all the cops and other people chasing him and whatnot.

And as far as plenty of action goes, Begins and Knight both have plenty but if the fact that they stop the action once in a while for some compelling plot bothers you then I dont know what your problem is.

It will always be my fav as well, it's got a high replay value for me compared to the new ones. Don't take that the wrong way either, the new ones are great, I just love the 89 one and could watch it all the time.

Before you do anything, it seems the BDs are locked to Region B (unless you have a region free player) although that needs to be confirmed...

hahaha. are you trying to tell me that you believe a giant tank like batmobile that flies across rooftops is more realistic than the one in the 89 version?

hahaha, you've gotta be kidding me.

Batman Returns is still my favorite, and I'm glad to hear that the UK BD is uncut and retains the special features from the 2 disc DVD release. I'd say Returns is more of a Burton movie than a Batman movie, though. The Dark Knight is much closer to the Batman comics, albeit more grounded in reality.
I enjoy Burton's take and Nolan's for different reasons.

It has been confirmed that the BDs are not locked and will play on a U.S. PS3.
Warner generally eschews region coding.

Dark Knight is the best Batman EVER!!! Ledger was bloody excellent. His most impressive work. I liked the Keaton film - the very first Batman, it fit the time, The city had a real gothic look to it thanks to Burton but the films went downhill after that first one. Batman Begins was pretty good but DK was flippin' phenominal!

Actually it is. The Burton Batmobile was too long to actually do the maneuvers Batman would need to do. They had to use grappling hooks just so the damn thing could turn at a decent speed. The Tumbler can actually do that without grappling hooks. It can go 100 mph. They built the thing with practicality in mind. The only unrealistic thing is flying on rooftops.

I thought the Tumbler in Begins/TDK was intended to be an early version of the Batmobile. It's still early in Batman's career. Since the Tumbler was critically damaged in TDK, maybe the next model he comes up with will be sleeker.

+1. The original is awesome in its own right but TDK is the best one by far. Slow in parts??... every time I watch it I'm at the edge of my seat. Such a badass movie.

To each his own, but Batman Begins and Dark Knight to me are THE Batman movies.

I don't know. I feel that the Batmobile out of the old is cool for the '60s, the Burtonmobile for the '80s and '90s while the Tumbler is suited for today. Modernisation happens and even though I wasn't a fan of the Tumbler at first, I just accepted it for what it is.

I like Bale best as Batman, with Val Kilmer second. Never liked Keaton in the role though.
