Default Amazon Question

Hello everyone, I just have a quick question on ordering from Amazon. I placed an order on 12-21 for eight Blu-ray movies (3-5 days ship $$$), and then on 12-22 I placed an order for Band of Brothers (Supersaver 5-??? days free). Can someone please tell my why they would send B.O.B first and not process my first order....well first? It's not a big deal at all really, I just found it kinda strange (lol).

Because it's easier for them to pack and ship 1 movie than 8 movies.

Also, yesterday was a Sunday. Amazon doesn't do anything on Sundays, so it wouldn't of made a difference if you placed the 8 movie order yesterday or today.

Guaranted that on your first order you selected something that reads "group into as few shipments as possible", vs. "ship as my items become available (for higher cost)".

It reads something like that in your shipping options. All it means in this case most likely is that atleast one of your 8 selections is out of stock and they're waiting to ship ALL 8 according to your indicated desire. Now, you can go back in there and modify the order to "ship as items become avail"...I did that just the other day. They hit me for a few more $$$ in shipping...FYI.

Hope that explains its....

Amazon ships packages on Sundays (or at least processes them).

Are you sure? When you look to order something...say on a Saturday...it says "choose 1 day shipping and get it Tuesday!" If they shipped on Sundays, it would say, "choose 1 day shipping and get it Monday!"

Like posted above it probaly has to due with the grouping option. I usually have them group mine I don't really mind having to wait, but I am also usually getting free shipping.

They do work on Sundays. Perhaps maybe due to the holidays, but when I ordered the plasma - it processed and said preparing item for shipping and then said shipped on Sunday. Even the tracking they provided confirmed that.

Again, it might be just a holiday thing.
