Default do you have dead pixels?

When I first bought by Panny, I had a dead pixel in the screen. Of course I was pissed, and the store took it back and gave me a new one. I'm just wondering with my new one, when pixels will start to die. Anyone's plasma have dead pixels?....and how long did you have your set before it happened?

Generally, pixels either work or they don't. I have had my Panny for about a month and a half now and have not had one single dead or stuck pixel. If you get it home and there are no dead pixels, you are good to go and should not have to worry about any more pixels dying down the road. That generally doesn't happen.

I agree with BAC, my rule of thumb on buying or having a new electronic toy / stuff is if theres something wrong the first time return it asap. Had a samy LCD before and had 2 stuck/dead pixels returned it got a new 1, have it for a year and still sweet and clear of spots

Both of my Pannys (almost a year old) have no dead pixels.

My sharp Aquous has one dead pixel, and it really got my upset when I saw it. Can' t really notice it unless I am acouple of inches from the TV. Like the avatar Detroit SF!

I have one dead pixel on my Samsung 1080p plaz. I noticed it several days after I bought the set. It's in a "good" spot, plus it's only one pixel, so I have not done anything yet. I'm a total perfectionist, so for me to not have done anything kind of surprised me.

I was thinking about waiting until the end of my one-year warranty to say something to Samsung. I have actually purchased a three-year warranty, so I don't necessarily have to do it before the first year expires, per se. Hopefully they'll replace my set with a newer model with more bells and whistles!

nope, the guys at my Circuit City let us check our 50" Panasonic Plasma TV for dead pixels while in the store, it was very nice of them, they helped us open it up in the store, plug it up, check, then box it back up and put it in the car.

Nothing so far on my Bravia.
Which is good cause once I see a dead pixel, I will always notice it.

I have one dead/stuck pixel. I used to have two but they're gone somehow...now I have a little one down near the bottom. To be honest it doens't bother me one bit because it's impossible to notice unless I'm RIGHT up to the tv.

Nope, no dead pixels for me. I was a little worried that my plamsa would potentially have one upon arrival since I was just paranoid that I bought it over the internet and would have to ship it back, but no dead pixels fortunately. My lcd I've had for 3 years and all the pixels are still working just fine.
