Usually there aren't many, but currently...

Bad Santa 2 is going for $10 at Walmart and elsewhere.

Not going across the border anytime soon. Anywhere here in Canada?

Don't know if it had the digital copy, but I remember when the version with that new cover first came out. I saw it in Walmart 2 weeks early (i.e. before U.S. release date), before we even knew for sure if we were getting it in Canada. I passed on it thinking it's kind of expensive and maybe it'll be cheaper in a month. Never saw it again there...I bet it's almost "rare" for such a popular title in a Canadian version.

That's almost exactly what I went through, although I don't recall it being a couple of weeks earlier than the official release. They had some media displays in the action aisles, and I noticed the steelbook but thought the price was too pricey at the time. And like you've mentioned, I've never seen them again.

^ I remember that when it was announced, I mentioned on another forum (HTF) that I was disappointed it wasn't announced for Canada too. Usually they/Warner include Canada in release announcements. So you can imagine how surprised I was to see it, never mind "early"...that's the only reason I remember. It's also the movie I've watched more than any other movie, and I still laugh...pathetic...

I found Elf steelbook at Giant Tiger for 6.99.

Also on the lookout for Scrooged. I recall seeing it at Costco for maybe 8.79? New red white and green slip. It was like midseptmber so definitely not on my radar at that point. Now of course they don't have it and I haven't seen it anywhere else since. A heads up if anyone else comes across it would be most appreciated

Scrooged is 2/$20 at Sunrise, with the slip. It's also $9.99 on Amazon.ca right now.

Are you looking for the steelbook specifically or just the remastered disc? If it’s the latter, I read that Warner quietly replaced the discs in the standard case with the remastered ones.

Here's the steelbook version:

It's unfortunately more expensive than I'd like to pay atm (22.83), but that's the exact version, minus the digital code.

Here's that post:

I wonder if it's safe to take that 10.00 gamble and see if Amz.ca actually carries the new stock...

^ Don't believe some of the reviews. Take it from a CV aficionado: Even the original BD is way better than the DVD. And the new BD is much less proportionately better than the previous BD. So you can't lose if you don't already have the original BD. Or you can get the 4 "vacation" BDs boxset from the UK for ~$10 sometimes (region-free).

I'm currently in the US and saw that they re-released CHRISTMAS VACATION along with CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS and ELF with new lenticular slips this year.

I search Elf and a christimas story with those lenticular Slips so bad. On ebay the price is ridiculous. How much they sell it out there?

Amazon.ca has the listing up here:

https://www.amazon.ca/Christmas-Vaca...stmas+vacation

It's temporarily out of stock though, $22.99, but will come with the UV copy.

^ But...does anybody here actually have that BD, as shown (it's a Canadian version)? [If anybody here has it, I can think of one member who is most likely to...]

There have been a few Canadian BD releases that are almost phantom they are so hard to find, virtually disappeared from shelves after a couple weeks never to be seen again.

I own the Steelbook above, purchased it right when it was released......because of this reason, inventory at stores for physical media is a JOKE here in Canada.

I'm hoping Kino does a Black Friday sale. Too bad our dollar is still below 80 cents US.

I received my Amazon copy today, and it came with a slip, for those of you concerned.
