plz help - Blu-ray Forum

i am not sure if this is the correct place to post this but i have a problem with sound. When i play a blu-ray movie on my bsd-300 blu-ray player i have quite speech but loud action so i have to keep rasing and lowering the volume. What should i do?

What receiver are you using?

How are things connected? What AVR do you have? What audio settings are you using in your BD player? What is your setup? We need more information if we are going to attempt to help.

I have had the same problem before upgrading my speaker system, dialogue would be soo low yet explosions scenes very loud, i personally think the only way of getting this fixed is to invest in a decent center speaker and a receiver

i am very noobish so i can tell you one thing that i am using a hdmi cable

have you adjusted the center speaker volume? should be at least a difference of 6 in the volume levels between the front speakers and the center...i:e if the fonts are set at 0 the center should be set at 6, you may be overpowering the dialogue with loud fronts

i havent got sorround sound

that may be the problem right there. time to get one, even if its a cheap one for now..you will be happy trust me...make sure the sound on your blu-ray is set to hdmi..

You need to set the player to stereo so it'll downmix the center channel into the L&R for your TV
