Default New to Blu Ray- Specific question.

Alright, i've been looking for a new Blu Ray player. I don't have enough to buy a new ps3, but do have enough for a stand alone player. I researched around and found that the panasonic dmp-BD35 is the best for the price. Unfortunately its sold out everywhere, even on the panasonic website. So while i'm waiting for it to be in stock, i was wondering if i'm over doing it. Let me explain.

I recently bought a new Samsung 32 inch 720p LCD TV. When i was looking for a tv, i was finding some that were like 32-37 inch 1080p, and they were really expensive. Then i found out that that having 1080p on any TV under 40 inches is pretty much overkill and useless. So i'm wondering if i'm over doing it by getting a 250 dollar blu ray player when i'm only going to be watching them on a 32 inch 720p.

So do you guys know if i should just buy a cheap 100-200 hundred dollar insignia type Blu Ray player or should i still buy the Panasonic dmp-BD35?

I'm going to be connecting it with an HDMI cord, if that matters.

-Thanks

I would buy a ps3 given a choice as they are the only system you can connect to wirelessly. Makes it much easier for blu-ray live features and system updates. After that I think I would go for the panasonic, I know there are people on here that are happy with theit panasonic's. I don't really know much about the insignia player. I don't think they have been out for too long. I have some insignia speakers in my bedroom and just bought an insignia tv for my son's bedroom. They are just Best buy's brand name. I am not sure who makes the actual product

I would go with the Panasonic.
I've been doing alot of reseacher on Yamaha,Marantz and Pioneer Blu-Players(all these players are over $700 and the use Panasonic parts.)

I suggest Go with the Panasonic DMP-BD35 and know that when purchasing that your getting one of the best players for the price in my opinion.

Do it right the first time

Good luck and welcome to Blu-ray.com

No, your definitely not overdoing it. I just recently upgraded my HDTV to a 52" 1080p LCD. Before that, I had a 40" 720p samsung. Blu ray still looks amazing on 720p tv's even if yours is 32". Will definitely be a good purchase for you.

Oh, and definitely go with the panasonic.
