Default Blu-ray on 22 inch??

Hey guys and girls.

I'm getting a Bluray drive for my computer and my monitor is 22 inches. I know that full HD's resolution is 1920x1080, but my monitor is 1680x1050. Will the quality of the film still be good, or at least better than a normal DVD?

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

at 22 inch, you can't hardly tell the difference. I have an HP 19 inch that the resolution is up to 1080i. And I was watching blu rays on it for a while. Just make sure u have nice computer speakers.

Of course it will be better than standard DVD's, they can only do 720x480. Your blu will play as high as your monitor's res. You'll see a difference, but extremely small

Now, it's up to your processor, graphics card and software you use to play...

That's small for a TV but big for a monitor that you sit right in front of. While not Blu-Ray resolution, it's pretty much full HD if we're being practical. I'd say go for it. Internal Blue Ray drives are nice and cheap compared to full players, too, so that's another reason to do it. I'd say the difference is probably noticeable if they're good DVDs (meaning new movies and not stuff from the 70s originally shot on video in the first place).

I have a BD drive in my laptop (17in screen) that I used to watch movies on all the time when i went out of town and you can tell a difference but very slight. I'd much rahter be at home watching them on one of my tvs haha.
