I would like Super Mario Bros in AVC/ BD50. because Mario is one of my favorite platformers. The Europeans, Australians got this region locked Bluray, but Americans only have the DVD.

At least make a region free bluray!

DVD only cost $2 + shipping. I can afford the Bluray. I afforded the Japanese bluray.

AVGN's Blus are released by the people that own AVGN (Screenwaves or whatever). smbmovie do not own the rights at all (especially in the US) and it's more likely they will be teaming up with a US label.

Disney still owns the rights to this movie so expecting a US release from them on disc is very very slim. Best bet would be a label like Kino Lorber or Shout - prob should start reaching out to them. Kino especially has released a few Touchstone films so they already have a relationship with Disney.
The problem is, the HD master used for the European Blu-Ray was privately funded, so whoever releases it would need to purchase the rights to it, as well as the rights from Disney.

In 2019 I would have laughed at a comment like this. But it seems hell is freezing over in terms of releases this year, so Disney finally licensing out their untouched back catalogue is entirely possible.

Honestly, with the way 2020 is going, I wouldn't be surprised if The Abyss, True Lies, and Panic Room all come in a 4K boxset with Disney and Sony collaborating for it.

It's the same transfer on all the discs.

The Japanese release only has Dolby Digital for the audio though.
