Remote code for Sony BDP-S550? - Blu-ray Forum

Going to pick up a universal remote today to replace my dead remote for the 550. Checked the Logitech website and found that the Harmony Remotes are compatible with the 550. Does anyone know the remote code to use to get the Harmony to talk to the 550?

You program a harmony remote with your computer. There's a program that comes with the remote, and you just tell it that you're running an S550. It will do the programming for you.

No worries. Once you start playing with a harmony remote, you'll wonder how you got along without it.

When you program the Harmony remote, you need to know the model numbers of your equipment, and how they are connected (which input, etc.). You will use the software to setup activities, such as "Watch TV, "Watch BD", etc.

Picked up the Harmony One remote today. It's truly an amazing piece of technology. It solved all my problems (till I can create new ones).

Haven't contacted them yet. I'll have to dig up the receipt for it. I'm sure Sony will ask for a copy of the sales receipt.

Needed the universal remote ASAP since we couldn't operate the 550 without the remote, and we couldn't survive the holidays with no movies ;-)
