Hi all....so I sent a copy of this 4K blu-ray disc, never played to an eBay buyer and they are having issues saying that the Universal logo appears and then nothing, it just goes blank. I wondered if any of you have ever seen something like htis and what you might recommend? Many thanks!

Has the buyer on a player with fully updated firmware? If so, there's probably nothing they can do other than contact Phillips and report the problem. There are still a lot of issues with players that can't handle particular discs. I run into that on my HTPC setup, where two discs out of fifteen (!) require me to use a different drive because my primary drive just can't play the disc. (Meanwhile, 3-4 of the fifteen discs won't play on the backup.)

This is really common still with 4k discs on players. Was same when bluray first came out, lot of kinks still getting worked out. It's the main reason i buy oppo players as i hated dealing with my sammy and lg back in like 2009 when sooo many discs were not playing properly. Odds are a firmware update will correct it down the road, but it can take ages with these bigger name brands.

So the customer finally figured out how to update his firmware (which was my first suggestion, like some of you!) and voila....the disc played. Thaks for taking the time to respond!
