Default Remote doesn't work wth the Planet of the Apes series!!!

I've got a Sony BDP-S300. I bought the Planet of the Apes series, put it in for New Year's Day Ape-Fest 09 and f*&$! The remote doesn't work!

My last firmware update was in the summer. Could there have been changes since then to the technology or the firmware that wouldn't allow certain special features (like the remote control) to work?

HEEEELLLPPPP!

Are you tyring to access the menus or just use the normal Play, Pause, Fast Foward, and Rewind buttons?

Fox Blu-rays are encoded to go back to the menus with the Top Menu button only. Annoying if you have a PS3 since you have to press the triangle button to bring up the additional button options.

Default menu

Play is highlighted by default. I'm just trying to press select to play it. If I use the arrow buttons, it doesn't do anything.

So basically, if I press anything while on the menu screen, nothing happens.

(And WTF with the animated ape opening, BTW)

Last FW for the 300 was Oct 31 2008. If it's not you're latest version please update. Fox change it's DRM a lot of time and it cause some players to have problems from time to time...
