There are rules that must be followed. For example debates about religion, politics, and social issues are devisive and should not be a part of this forum. I have never had a problem with expressing my views. Just remember to keep your posts relevant to the topic at hand and respectfull of others . I read the thread where you recently posted, and although you are welcome to your opinion, making absolute statements is a fast way to annoy other people.

you are welcome to debate anything within reason and the forum guidelines. 99.9% of the time it turns into a personal insult filled thread and the thread gets closed. If you happen to be the instigator there may be some actions taken against you but if you were trying to have a fashionable discussion you should be fine.
Please note we dont want console debates and format related debates as that era is over and we are focusing on the future of this format rather than the could have beens.

Please read the rules prior to posting though

I'm assuming you're asking this because of the unfavorable response to you in the "Scream Trilogy" thread.

Remember:

Quote:
General rules
# NO TROLLING
# Don't threadcrap. In other words don't go into a thread about golfing and post "golf sucks" etc. It's unconstructive and it insults people who like golf.
What you are doing in that thread is trolling/threadcrapping. If you don't like the film and don't have anything constructive to say, don't post in the thread. If you want to debate something, have some facts/information to back up your statements and don't state your opinions as fact.

ahh pictures a little clearer, since you asked Ill provide some sort of an outside view here.
Heres the thread in question

OP wants to know when Scream is coming out, fine, You expressed your opinion of Scream, Fine but no one replied to your opinion. You came back again stating your opinion on why its horrible, borderline but you did state facts backing up your opinion, which you should have done that in the first post, very borderline threadcrapping

Now looking at the third post in that thread by you, you have encited the thread and left personal insults against other users calling them 'kids'(Do you know they are kids?)

In my opinion I would just move on, any continued discussion may cause the thread to ensue in a downward spiral and poissible action against you

Now had you posted in that thread stating something constructive and backing your claims on why you felt the movie is horrible and moved on thats fine, but the continued posting negativity about the series and comments unrelated to the OP's question are considered trolling and are unacceptable behavior here Hope this helped and makes sense

So if I say a director is a complete zero with no TALENT or a film is pure junk that can not lead to a ban, or.... ?

if its your thread, no . Had you started that thread and said IMO Scream is the worst film and the director who made it had zero talent, no. But the current circumstance of what you posted will.

The director cant be that bad, he made several movies that made money. People bash uwe boll all the time, happens. But theres a place and time for every opinion and the Scream thread isnt. Op asked when the movie was being released? If you didnt have an answer for that, I would have moved on. Dont get me wrong , the comment "hopefully never" and a comical response would have been great but that didnt happen.

Maybe try and use more forgiving words persay, 'Junk' sounds so negative to begin with. Its how its worded helps as well.

Here's what I don't understand. This was your first post in the thread. Nothing wrong with it. You dislike Scream. You made your point.

Then you come back to the thread 3 hours later and post this as your second post????

It's like you're coming back to institigate an argument because no one commented on your first post. Why would you come back to a thread that clearly doesn't interest you???

About as far as you went today.

There is freedom of speech, but there are also forum rules. Your posts were nothing more than instigating and thread crapping.

Thing is Jason... this is a privately-owned board. So truth of the matter is- there isn't freedom of speech. I'm not complaining about that, but stating a fact. If you come into my house and start swearing in front of my little kid, you're out the door. The same thing happens here. If you come onto this forum and say things that the administrators/owners don't like, prepare to see the door.

Treat this place the same as you would treat being a guest in someone else's home. Have some tact. You've amply made your point about the Scream movies and it's time to move on.

Or another way of saying it: there is freedom of speech and freedom of repercussions.

If you disagree with a post, weigh your choices. What good would it do to reply with your opinion? Will it change any minds or lead to a deeper discussion? Blu-rays are subjective and people will therefore develop opinions of them based on emotion more than logic, so you are likely to get people upset if you question the reasons they like or don't like a title.
