France Il était une fois ... (Animation series)

I just found out about these!

https://www.amazon.fr/Il-etait-une-fois-la-vie-Blu-ray/dp/B071NMMKN4

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Etait-Fois-LHomme-Remaster-Blu-ray/dp/B008FR3MU0

They include English audio, they're Region Free and it says that they're restored in HD.
has anyone got them?
How is the picture quality? Any screenshots?

edit:
Found this, but still it would be nice to see some full screenshots.
http://www.fanmusik.com/chroniques/1...rille-procidis

It says that the 16mm films have been scanned in 2K and then cleaned etc.
I'd like to know how much they were "cleaned". Were they also degrained?

Brings back memories. Not sure I would like to sit through the entire series again, but it looks from to be the genuine deal as they've posted a before and after comparison.

I've seen some videos of the new Blurays.
The older series seems nice and grainy.
The newer ones seems more "restored" with no grain to be seen.
I don't know if it was that way, or they cleaned it up too much!

Can confirm that 'Il était une fois… la Vie' is region B locked despite the ABC symbol on the discs and packaging. Tested in A & C. I don't have 'Il était une fois… l'Homme', so cannot confirm the region coding of that series.

Yes. I think they released Man and Life first because those are I believe more popular than Space. No idea if they'll ever remaster the other series.

Bummer. I always had a soft spot for Space. Partly because of what I consider the "original three", it was the most elusive one (and in some ways it still is, apparently!), so it had a certain air of mystique to it; plus I've loved sci-fi as a kid, and I thought the combination of the educational material of the franchise with a dramatic narrative was pretty cool.
