It figures. After not watching "Up in Smoke" for 20+ years I finally watched the DVD last week.
Maybe I should give my DVD of "The Abyss" a spin. That wojld gurantee a blu-ray release within the next 4 months.

Yeah, though sometimes their titles do drop to $12.99 at BB, just not during the pre-order stage. The $12.99 pricing is a little odd for a studio release too, and Paramount has kind of been MIA when it comes to catalog releases.

I think I did a spit-take on this... not because of the films, but because Paramount are actually releasing a deep catalogue title. Released on April 10th, huh, I wonder if it's part of a 4/20 promo.

Have them already on Vudu in hdx but would upgrade to blu. They don't quite resonate the same way as when I was a teen since I frankly watched them too many times. But these are long overdue.

i loved these films as a kid, can't wait to own them. Hope we eventually get The Shrimp on the Barbie and Born in East L.A.

Nice! If Paramount starts releasing or licensing out catalog titles on Blu, that would be incredible. They've inexplicably been re-releasing films on DVD lately, like "Breakdown", "Play It Again Sam", and the De Niro-Penn film "We're No Angels".
