I hardly think she's likely to appear in the film, given that she divorced Hogan in 2014, and received millions in a divorce settlement. In fact, I'm sure money for Hogan is a factor in why this is being made now, right on the back of the Australian miniseries about Hogan from last year. And if Paul Hogan is in the film, I would fully expect him to have only a small, supporting role.

My guess is that someone thought it would be funny to sort of inverse the roles of the original film, and have Dundee's American "son" come to Australia. That's supposedly what the web site says, at this point.

I enjoyed the first half of Vice Principals, but normally, I find Danny McBride annoying, and brief as it is, the trailer really isn't doing much to make me feel otherwise. Unless it's rated R and has some very attractive Australian women in it, there would be no reason for me to see it.

I didnt say she would. But the character is still likely the mother if it is actually Dundee's kid.
Maybe even in the film theyve long since divorced, and their son lived in the US with mom and is now going to find his dad

well there's your Hemsworth. He would have been far more believable as Dundee's son, though I imagine he is nothing more than a cameo in this.

This can't be real. It's absolutely some kind of viral marketing building to something else. The companies listed on it - Screen Australia and Rimfire Films, have no evidence of this film existing, and all the stills on the site are all from the same scenes in the trailers.

Danny McBride can be funny at times IMO, but there's a very fine line between him being funny and him just being obnoxious & annoying. And unfortunately he seems to fall under the latter more often than the former IMO.

OK. This pisses me even more. Who doesn't look at that and know that the roles should swapped? Unless they are both Dundee's boys and in fact enstranged brothers. Still, I haven't seen a movie with McBride where is isn't playing himself. Probably a hard pass.
