Yes, it's a shame Arrow won't release it. But since CultFilms is involved it'll be a decent release? I surely hope so. Really glad I didn't order Scorpion's release.

Opera is one of my favourite Argento films, so this is great news. I hope Shameless and CultFilms do the film justice; can't say I'm familiar with the former's previous releases but CultFilms have done some good work. It's going to be hard for them to reach the bar Arrow have set for Argento releases, but fingers crossed that they try!

Man,I I do not like those weird box design [Cohen's Big C kinda] and I sincerly hope they do not repeat that ugly design for Opera now; nice artwork is already available which was used for German and Italian releases.

Shameless are very hit and miss. They are long overdue a hit. I'll hang onto my mediabook for a while.

Good that Shameless are doing this with CultFilms rather than trying by themselves. Surprised Arrow didn't get this but then again they can't get every Argento, as is evidenced by the recent Suspiria release.

I'll probably be getting the deluxe Scorpion release when it's finally orderable. I only have one Shameless Blu-ray which is Four Flies, and it's passable but nowhere near being great, so don't have much hope for this one.

You'd think that this would look the same as the Scorpion release but they never mentioned using anything as reference (only that it had been approved by film historians IIRC), whereas the Shameless/CultFilms release claims to use an Argento-owned vault print as reference. I assume that this would be either an answer print or perhaps a release print in which case if they closely follow the colors and framing from this print then we could have a different and more accurate presentation than Scorpion's effort.

This scan is adverised as being produced in consultation with Argento too, something I haven't heard about Scorpion's scan.

I think the audio on their copy of Four Flies on Grey Velvet captures the tones and nuances of human vocal patterns perfectly.

I'd like to think that they're so [SPLITCH]realistic, they are practically [SPSHHHHHHHH] indistinguishable from [SCREEEEEEEEEACH] live sound.

I always assumed they were different departments of the same overall company. Are the staff one and the same or do different people work on CultFilms releases than Shameless?
